Sally Deane and Louise Venden
conceived The Charles Street Inn as the ideal way to share this
gracious 1860 townhouse visitors to Boston. They had restored and
renovated other charming old residences such as 1 Washington Street
in Brookline (first home of the stained glass window over the stairs).
There they learned the art of preserving the warm charm of historic
style while offering then latest comforts and luxuries. They also
learned how to create the perfect 20th century neo-Victorian bathroom.
Assistant Manager Nate Beyer pays special attention to guest needs
from the moment they enter the doorway until they depart, relaxed
and refreshed, days later.
Marketing Manager Dan d'Heilly not only carefully presents our many
charms to business partners, the media, and travelers, but offers
up an in-depth knowledge of Boston history and attractions.
Innkeeper Curtis Martin moved to Boston last fall, and so he provides
a fresh perspective on Boston's "must see and do" list, and is resourceful
helping guests negotiate Boston's paths and trails.
All of us spend time at the front desk, greeting guests, giving
tours of our lovely rooms, and answering the many inquires we receive
each day. We take pride in making the inn truly feel like your home
in Boston.
